Summer Rally 2012

The host Binghampton Aeros are working hard to get ready for the IMAA Summer Rally of Giants. The Rally will be held from June 21st thru June 24th.... on their beautiful mowed grass field in the rolling hills of Northern New York. Balsa USA FlyBaby Monoplane Review

The Balsa USA FlyBaby Monoplane is a follow-up to their very popular FlyBaby biplane which was introduced over 30 years ago. This new monoplane version of the Pete Bowers designed homebuilt features a ton of fabricated metal hardware, and even allows the wings to be folded and pivoted... just like the full size. Dick Pettit reviewed the FlyBaby monoplane in the Spring issue of HIghFlight (but we had a technical glitch, and the biplane article appeared with the monoplane photos. Senate joins House in passing FAA bill, exemption for aeromodeling

M U N C I E – The U.S. Senate late Monday joined the House in passing the first full FAA Reauthorization Bill in more than four years. In passing the FAA Modernization and Reform Act of 2012 both the House and Senate included a provision aimed at protecting model aviation from burdensome regulations. The President is expected to sign the bill into law.
