The 2001 IMAA Rally of the Giants was hosted by IMAA Chapter 7, the Antelope Squardon, in coordination with the Cam-Plex Multi-Event Facilities, June 6-10, at Gillette, Wyoming. Approximately 175 pilots attended. Congratulations on a very nice Rally which was thoroughly enjoyed by both pilots and spectators.

Most of the following pictures were taken by yours truly, IMAA Webmaster, Andy Smith. Andy Argenio, IMAA Event Coordinator took some (and says he is sending more) . Full coverage will appear in High Flight Magazine. Another reason to join IMAA if you are not a member.!

BBQ on Friday night - featuring Buffalo steaks and burgers - the IMAA board is shown serving up the food. One that was missing is Bob Bush, who was helping with the cooking. The weather in the last picture came at almost the end of the BBQ.

Some of the Official Stations at the Rally - Registration Booth, Raffles, Transmitter Impound, and Flight Line Control. All very well done!
Miscellaneous shots of the flying area. If you hit a tree here, you must have been in pretty bad shape!
Most of the vendors (including official AMA representation) that were at the Rally!
Some of the IMAA Directors brought airplanes, and most spent time working at the IMAA booth.
So what do the following pictures have to do with Giant Scale RC Aircraft? Nothing! They are included to show one of the attractions in Wyoming near the Rally (And also to prove that there are trees in Wyoming). Devil's Tower was within an hours drive of the Rally, and four of us took the time to visit. (I know others did also).
We may have some more pictures later - please check back again.
