On the Cover: Winter 1999

The colorful model on this quarters cover is IMAA Member Mike Barbee's Super WACO YMF-5. 110" wingspan, covered and painted with Scale Stits covering by F&M Enterprises. Power is a 3W Twin on ignition. Built from a Birth kit with a lot of extra scale effort. The Super WACO is covered with more and is 2' longer than its predecessor. The Super WACOs are being currently manufactured and certified as new aircraft. Photographed by Bob Ramirez at this year's TOP GUN in West Palm Beach, Florida.
