On the Cover: Summer 2003

This great studio photo of a GeeBee is by Rich Cox of Reseda, California. The Gee Bee 'Y' was built by John Curran of Northridge, California. Built from a IKON N'WEST kit with a wing span of 90" and weighs 24 pounds. The cowl and wheel pants are fiberglass. The built up plane is covered with Stits Lite fabric. The dummy engine is from FTE (Tiano Enterprises). The plane is finished with paints from F&M Enterprises (Scale Stits Coverings). Scale details were taken from photos from Bankas Aircraft Documentation. Power is supplied from a J&A Engineering Sachs 3.2 with CH ignition.
