I can't believe how busy, and exciting this year has been! By Christmas we'll be releasing the IMAA History book (which I'm sure will look as great under your Christmas tree as it will my tree), and the new Giant Scale Handbook, with lots of great articles, and giant scale tips. I hope you'll take the time to welcome our new Vice President, Corky Heitman. Many fine individuals were nominated, and it was a tough choice. Corky is a founding father, and served as VP from 1980 to 1984. I'm sure that Corky would love to share his love of the organization with you (he might even buy the wine!)

Frank Fels, he has come on board to finish Jim Eble's term. Jim, like Bob Bush, felt that because of increases in responsibility, that it be best for both he, and the organization that he step down. He hopes to be back in the future, working hard for his district. We wish Jim well and thank him for his years of service to the IMAA. Frank Fels is a long time IMAA member and is dedicated to making the IMAA a better organization and making in a fun place to hang your hat.

The Joe Nall had another successful year. Joe Nall was even bigger and better than before with some great surprises. Watch for coverage in the fall issue of Highfight.

Not everyone had the chance a few years ago to enjoy the Rally of the Giants at the AMA headquarters in Muncie. Those who did found the site to be wonderful, and the host club to be great! So, with the help of the IMAA Board of Directors, and the assistance of the AMA, we're going back this year to Muncie! I'm looking forward to seeing those of you who were there last time, and those of you who couldn't make it, in Muncie, at the IMAA Rally of the Giants!

Don't forget that next year is our 25th anniversary! We'll be in Danville, VA for the best party ever! We tried an experiment to bring old members back to the club. We did a bulk mailing campaign in just three districts. It was such a success that it will be expanded in the coming months to the entire IMAA. Just remember, that membership is not just the responsibility of the Board. If each member would sign up just one new member a year, we would double our organization in a short period of time. Ours is the ONLY organization that is dedicated to Giant Scale, AND WE'RE THE BEST!

It was wonderful talking with members at both the WRAM show, and Toledo. Never think that the IMAA doesn't care. I get some of my best ideas from members. As I travel this summer to different fly-ins, please tell me how you think we're doing so that I can share your ideas with the entire Board.

Have a great summer! Safe landings to you all!
