Barry Dalwig, a member of the prolific Channel Island Condors Chapter, in Southern California has created a masterpiece Spitfire. Built from Brian Taylor plans, with a fiberglass fuselage, Sierra Precision retracts, and Glennis tires. Barry spent four years building the beautiful ‘Spit. The entire story, including the similarities between the full scale pilots, and Barry’s own life are detailed in Chris Spangenberg’s ‘Scale Tales Column’, starting on page 54. The “late afternoon at Duxford” photo was taken by Rich Cox, a full time professional photographer, and also an active Channel Islands Condors modeler.
