One of the big problems facing modelers whenever transporting their giant model for any distance is how to secure the plane so that it doesn't slide around or get damaged while in transit. Ken made the above rack for his Sopwith Pup when he was to have it transported from Sacramento to the Las Vegas Fly-In last year, and it then made a three-week tour of the entire country.
During that time, an emergency stop caused a goodly
portion of the car's other baggage to get scattered all over the interior,
but because of the superior holding power of this rack to which the model
was tied down, there was no model damage. This rack can also be hung up
on a garage wall, and L/G hooks fashioned to hold the model while at home.
Highly recommended for anyone who spends any amount of time traveling with
their models.
