I hope that everyone is using either positive on-off or toggle switches for their airplane motors. I have seen a few problems arise with these toggle switches. If you have noticed a glitch or two in your technique it may not be a radio problem. I think that some of these problems can be traced to the stop switch. It is possible for a switch to arch and give you ghosts in your radio. I'm not a radio man so I can't explain why, but I do know of some problems traced to this area.
I have discussed this problem with several factory
reps and none have any real answers since the arching is relatively rare.
I have checked a few switches and the most promising seem to be in the
switch used by American Power Equipment in their 4.2 c.u. in. saw.
We know the engine as the American 70. If you want to try this switch
go to a Lombard chain saw dealer and ask for part number 4-2167.
Another good switch is one used by TML in some saws, part number 312823,
which can be found at any Partner saw dealer.
