In the Fall of 2005, the election for all IMAA Officers and District Directors will be held. The Board of Directors, at it's January 7th, 2005 meeting, voted to change the term of offce for elected officials from two (2) years to three (3) years. Therefore, those elected at this election will serve for the years 2006, 2007, and 2008. The President and Vice-President are elected by the entire current IMAA membership. The District Directors are elected by the current members of each individual District. All current IMAA members are eligible to be a candidate for the office of President or Vice-President. All current IMAA members, in each District, are eligible to be a candidate for the Directorship of their respective District. If you, as an IMAA member, have the desire and would like to serve as an Officer or Director, now is the time to submit your Nomination Form. You will find it on page 65 of the Spring issue of High-Flight, and it is also downloadable below. All Nomination Forms and supporting information must be received by the Nomination Committee by May 1, 2005. The information about the candidates will be published in the Summer issue of HighFlight. The ballots for voting will be mailed to each member August 1, 2005, and must be returned to the address indicated on the ballot with a postmark no later than September 1, 2005. The results of the election will be published in the Winter issue of HighFlight. The Nomination Committee anticipates receiving several nominations for each position and each IMAA member should consider it to be their responsibility as a member of the IMAA to participate in this election.
