Truly the MOST scale P-51 kit available with all the rivets, panel lines, fasteners, etc, molded in. The airplane is ready to fly and includes custom Husky Challenger Gas Engine, Internal Tuned Pipe, all JR servos (non digital), static spinner, flying spinner (Tru-Turn), flying prop, droppable under wing gas tanks, custom Aerotech retracts/struts, sliding canopy, and scale options kit. She weighs 28.5 lbs. A brief history on this model is in order: Originally built for me by Frank Tiano years ago, it was originally powered by a Moki 2.1 w/ tuned pipe. I flew it like that for several seasons. About a year ago, I decided to upgrade the model with the Husky gas engine, Aerotech's latest retracts/struts, new airlines throughout, new batteries, etc. Basically, I went completetly through the airplane from front to back. I have yet to fly the airplane with the Husky yet. I have made some ground runs, though. I was considering going with a Pitts style muffler instead of the internal pipe this time to ease access to radio gear, but I will let the new owner make that decision. I am simply out of room in the hangar and have to thin the fleet a bit. The airplane is painted with K and B epoxy paints. The airplane is not pristeen-I have put quite a few flights on her over the years, and she has some minor nicks/dings here and there to prove it. Nothing major, but thought I would give as accurate of a description as possible. Priced to sell at $2999, or best offer. Just the materials alone from Aerotech would cost you over 4K, and that's with no radio gear or labor. I prefer to deliver to Joe Nall fly in on May 16/17. I have another one of these flying, and this was my back up kit, but no more room in the hangar, so she's got to go. Reccommended power would be the DA-50 (not included), with a prop shaft extension to keep everything in the cowling and preserve the scale looks.
