Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, North Carolina, & Virginia
This year I got to make a very short trip to Joe Nall. I showed up on Saturday morning to see lots of flying going on when I got there. There was lots of thing to see and friends to talk to. It was nice talking to some of my long distance friends and meeting new ones. Randy Butz the Dist. 5 director did a great job on getting the IMAA both organized and staffed for the event. Thanks Randy and all that helped out with it. Ever one I talked to said they were having a great time, and there looked to be nothing but big smiles all around. The fly-ins in Dist 4 have been going well and there seems to be a lot of attendance to the events. If you have not been to an event yet please take the time to come out and support the local clubs who make theses events possible. For you warbird guys don’t forget warbirds over Delaware is just around the corner. I hope to see a lot of you out at some of the fly-in coming up.
With the new season just around the corner and the amount of sanctioned events all ready posted on the website. It looks like it going to be another great season of flying. The first event for dist. 4 will be at Piedmont aeromodeler field. If you have never been to this event you need to put it on your schedule. Just think of a 100 plus acre field with nothing but grass out in front of you. These guy put on a really great event. Remember you can renew your membership online with just a few simple steps. One thing to all ways remember with a new season is to go threw your airplanes and make sure ever thing is up to par, and make sure you cycle those batteries, to make sure they up to the capacity. I hope to see ever one of you at a fly-in this year.
