Yes District XII of the IMAA is in fact Canada ! Our small membership is spread over a pretty large area from Newfoundland to Vancouver Island. We were proud to host the 2008 Rally of Giants last year at the Arnprior Airport, Ontario. The host Ottawa Valley Chapter 217 welcomed over 100 pilots to this significant event that has re-injected a lot of interest and pride in the Giant Scale movement.

District XII has its own website. This site serves as an information spot for members of District XII to show their models and events and provide a calendar of upcoming events in the District.

This year’s big event was the 22^nd annual IMAA Fun Fly and District Mini-Fest at Kingston , Ontario held last August 22^nd and 23^rd. Over 60 pilots attended which may not be big to a lot of you larger Districts but it was sure huge for us. 22 years is a long heritage for any Chapter so 217 Ottawa Valley was justly proud. Event Director Dave Penchuk gave out over $4,000 in prizes to the thankful participating pilots. The many sponsors making this possible were well represented. Special thanks goes to: Smart Fly, Horizon Hobbies, Thunderbolt R/C, R/C Guys and KMP.  A pig roast dinner was featured Saturday evening. Plans are already underway for next year’s 23^rd annual event. Great going Chapter 217
